Perry Miele, Chairman & Managing Partner has over 20 years of experience in the advertising
and marketing industry and has earned a reputation as a strategic builder
of businesses.
Since 2006, Perry has served as the Executive Chairman of Budco, a marketing and fulfillment company located in Detroit servicing the country’s largest Fortune 100 Companies. Perry began his career with the Canadian federal government, rising to the position of Chief of Staff to the Minister of International Trade during the NAFTA negotiations. In 1987, Perry became a partner of the Gingko Group, an integrated marketing services company, located in Toronto. At Gingko, Perry grew the company's annual revenues from $1 million to $10 million. In 1998, Gingko merged with DraftWorldwide (a subsidiary of Interpublic Group) and in 1999 Perry joined the management team of DraftWorldwide as the President of the International Group. In that position, Perry was responsible for 36 offices operating in 24 countries and led the international expansion with a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth. Over three years, he led over $80 million in acquisitions which grew revenue from $70 million to $140 million. Perry is a member of the Young Presidents Organization. Telephone: (416) 928-2166 ext. 5246 From 1986 to 1990, Bill was the Chief Financial Officer and a significant shareholder in Sherwood, a holding company with 14 operating subsidiaries in the communications industry. Bill negotiated the divestment and sale of several subsidiaries of Sherwood during the late 1980's. Prior to Sherwood, Bill held senior financial management positions with a number of manufacturing and technology based companies including Genesis Microchip, Mitel, Rolm Canada and Rockwell International. Bill serves on several private and public company boards. He has an M.B.A. in finance from McMaster University as well as a B.A. in Economics. At Sun Media, Mike ensured the smooth integration of Osprey Media which had been acquired by Sun Media in 2007. Mike led the formation of Osprey Media Group in 2001, and with investments from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and Scotia Merchant Capital acquired 29 Ontario daily and non-daily newspapers from Hollinger Canadian Newspapers. Osprey was taken public in 2004 as Osprey Media Income Fund with a $200 million IPO. As President & CEO of Osprey Media, Mike completed a number of other acquisitions of Ontario community newspapers and magazines, growing the company’s portfolio to 20 daily newspapers, 43 non-daily newspapers and various magazines across Ontario. Prior to forming Osprey, Mike was President of Hollinger Canadian Newspapers L.P. and President and CEO of family-owned Armadale Communications. Mike is currently Chairman of The Canadian Press (his third tenure). He has also been a director of the Canadian Newspaper Association and the Newspaper Audience Databank. Mike holds a B. Telephone: (416) 928-2166 ext. 5247 Prior to joining Beringer, Joe was a Director at Teachers’ Private Capital (TPC), the private equity division of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (OTPP). At TPC Joe was responsible for the sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, financing and execution of private equity transactions. TPC was one of the founding investors of Osprey Media Group. Joe had a central role in the formation of Osprey and worked closely with CEO Mike Sifton on several strategic initiatives and acquisitions. Mr. Sifton and Mr. Prosperi worked together from 2000-2007 when the company was acquired by Sun Media. Joe also led and worked on several successful acquisitions including Samsonite, AOT Bedding Holdings (Serta Inc.), General Nutrition Centers (GNC) Inc., Trimac Corporation, and Worldspan. In his role at TPC Joe was the chair of the Underwriting Committee and member of the Investment Committee that was responsible for all private equity investment recommendations at OTPP. Mr. Prosperi served on the Board of Directors of the following companies: CTVglobemedia, Osprey Media Income Fund, Trimac Equipment Leasing Inc , AOT Bedding Holdings (SERTA Inc), General Nutrition Centers Inc.(GNC). Joe is a member of the fundraising committee for One Night Live in support of Sunnybrook Hospital. Joe holds an MBA from McGill University and B.A. (Economics) from Wilfrid Laurier University. Prior to Beringer, Andrea worked as a consultant for Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm. Andrea has also worked for a food ingredients manufacturing company to restructure operations. She began her career in the information technology industry launching and marketing software products.
