2002
Firm Inception & Growth – $70M USD
Beringer Capital was founded in 2002 by former executives in the Marketing, Information, and Technology sectors. In its early years, the firm focused on assembling a foundational portfolio, including MA+CH, Budco, and Quadrant – establishing the basis for our investment strategy and deploying $70M in capital throughout the 2000s.2015
First Institutional Fund – $100M USD
Fund I established our institutional platform, focused on acquiring high-potential assets and building growth-oriented businesses. We revitalized Adweek, a prominent media voice in the advertising and marketing world, and formed Blue Acorn iCi, now a recognized leader in digital consulting.This fund also marked our entry into enterprise AI through an early investment in Hypergiant, reflecting our long-term commitment to innovation.
2021
Fund II – $310M USD
Fund II represented a period of strategic expansion, deepening our focus on digital media, data, and tech-enabled services. Notable investments included Perform[cb], Dig Insights, and VeraData – emphasizing the funds extension into performance marketing and data and analytics platforms. Other acquisitions include Benzinga and Inman – leading platforms in the financial and real estate sectors.2024
