
Vice President, Private Equity
Founded in 2002, Beringer Capital is a Toronto and New York-based private equity firm focused on media, technology, and digital marketing services. Through the firm’s unique hands-on approach, Beringer Capital partners with founders and management teams to drive value through a combination of organic growth initiatives and add-on acquisitions.
Role Overview
Beringer Capital is seeking an experienced professional to join the firm’s investment team as a Vice President. The selected candidate will be involved in numerous activities including:

Playing a leadership role in overseeing private equity investments by managing key activities including industry & target research, building sophisticated financial models, analyzing due diligence materials, and preparing internal support documents for the firm’s Investment Committee.

Driving the negotiation and execution of legal agreements and other transaction-related documents.

Managing key relationships with external parties including consultants, brokers, debt partners, financial counterparties and legal counsel.

Building a robust pipeline of potential investments via the implementation of business development initiatives.

Providing mentorship and support to junior investment team members.

Offering thought leadership to Beringer Capital’s Partners with respect to investment and fund strategy.

Partnering with Beringer Capital’s portfolio companies to execute on value creation strategies.

Creating content for LP communications.

Supporting the Beringer team on managing the firm’s internal operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications

At least 8 years of private equity, investment banking, corporate development or management consulting experience with a track record of progressive leadership responsibilities.

Significant M&A experience is a requirement.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Strategic problem-solving abilities with a solid understanding of accounting and financial modeling concepts.

An MBA, advanced professional degree or undergraduate degree with commensurate experience. A strong record of academic performance expected.

CPA or CFA is considered a plus.

Industry experience in Beringer’s sectors is considered a plus.
