Managing Partner

PERRY MIELE

With over 30 years of leadership across private equity, government, and operating roles, Perry Miele has built a career grounded in partnership, execution and foresight. As Partner at Beringer Capital, Perry applies a founder-first mindset to build enduring value in each portfolio company.

Perry has held senior roles within Canada’s federal government, including as Chief of Staff to the Minister of International Trade during the NAFTA negotiations. His work across international trade, energy, and defense helped form a deep understanding of how policy decisions shape global markets and inform risk. That foundation continues to influence his approach to leadership, investment, and long-term value creation.

Before joining private equity, Perry spent over a decade in senior operating roles across the marketing and logistics sectors. He led one of Canada’s largest independent marketing agencies and later oversaw international operations for a global firm driving growth through both acquisitions and organic expansion. This hands-on experience anchors Perry’s work at Beringer, shaping how the firm builds resilient, high-performing businesses.

As a co-founder of Beringer Capital, Perry has built a track record of positioning companies for expansion, market leadership, and successful exits. Perry’s operating lens informs how he partners with management team to navigate inflection points and strengthen execution. Through past investments, he has shaped a philosophy that emphasizes technology as a key lever for enabling future-oriented scale and adaptability. At Beringer, this mindset drives how the firm identifies opportunity, builds alignment, and turns digital innovation into strategic advantage.

Perry has held board roles across both public and private companies, including the LCBO during its transformation into a globally recognized retailer. He currently serves on the boards of TSX-listed Andrew Peller Wines and Trillium Health Partners, where he continues to support executive teams and strategic direction. A longtime member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, he previously chaired Canada’s largest chapter and remains active as a mentor to emerging leaders.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to public service and community impact, Perry was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal. His decades-long commitment to strengthening Canada’s provincial and federal governments, supporting philanthropic initiatives, and investing in the growth of Canadian businesses is a testament to the impact of his leadership.

Outside the office, Perry is an avid outdoorsman and passionate fisherman, with contributions published in Real Fishing magazine. He enjoys cycling, hiking, and cooking, especially dishes inspired by his Italian heritage. A lifelong learner and storyteller, he has a deep appreciation for literature and regularly shares his insights through guest lectures and mentorship. These personal pursuits reflect the curiosity and perspective he brings to both life and business.
